Some wounds are visible. Others learn how to live quietly inside us.
Healing from Emotional Enemies — Healing to Wholeness created room for women to confront the emotional wounds that can hide beneath strength, responsibility, faith and everyday life.
The gathering invited women to look honestly at the things that can work against our emotional well-being—rejection, abandonment, church hurt, low self-esteem, unforgiveness, abuse, grief and other experiences that can shape how we see ourselves long after the moment has passed.
A Room That Made Space for Truth
Healing does not always begin with a dramatic moment. Sometimes it begins when a woman finally hears language for something she has carried for years. Sometimes it begins in a quiet seat, with an open notebook, a difficult realization or the relief of discovering that she is not the only one.

Healing to Wholeness
We heal to get her.
There is a version of a woman underneath what happened to her. Healing is not about pretending the hurt did not exist. It is about refusing to let rejection, abandonment, betrayal, abuse, unforgiveness or disappointment become her permanent identity.
Wholeness gives her permission to meet herself again—not only as the woman who survived, but as the woman who is still becoming.
Why This Moment Mattered
What we carry silently can influence how we love, lead, trust, serve and see ourselves.
This gathering mattered because emotional wellness deserves a place in the conversation. Women were given room to listen, reflect and consider what healing could look like beyond simply learning how to function through pain.
The work of healing is personal, but it does not have to be lonely.
This is the work of The Voice of a First Lady: creating spaces where women can name what hurts, discover language for what they carry, pursue healing and move toward greater wholeness without shame.
